May 5, 2006 - Against Noggin

.... According to DirecTV: "Nickelodeon and the people who bring you Sesame Street have partnered to create Noggin, the first 24 hour, commercial free thinking network for kids ages 6 to 16." Whatever. The evening block, known as "The N", is basicly made up of soft core child pornography aimed at teenagers. For example, on one episode of Instant Star a girl goes around the high school campus with a video camera asking her school mates about their "first time" and recording their answers. Teen sexuality is so openly praised and glorified here, it's sickening. This particular show and other shows on Noggin's evening block are loaded with other similar meterial designed to arouse. And I'm sitting there watching and thinking to myself: "Is this the teen sluttery channel or something? What kind of 'thinking network'is this?? Are they out of their minds? Noggin's radical liberal agenda is unmistakable in programs such as Degrassi: The Next Generation, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised that all "The N" is, is pure smut; classic liberal indoctrination and brainwashing. I'm highly suspicious that PBS is somehow involved here. Noggin should come clean and go one way or another. Either stop with the educational cover or loose the R-rated stuff in the evenings.

May 6, 2006 - "Speak your mind."

.... In popular culture today, you're supposed to be so strong and independant if you "speak your mind". Women are especially praised for this. Personaly, I think "speak your mind" is far over rated. It has it's benefits, but only up to a point. In excess, speaking one's mind doesn't make them look like a "free spirit", it just makes them look like an arrogant jerk. (I've learned this from experiance.)
